Guidance for Teachers

The Morah Programme is a new development designed not only to provide further training & mentoring for post seminary girls during their first year of teaching, but it's infused with a deluxe support network for our new teachers. It's here to nurture a community of only the finest of Jewish teachers today. We're proud to be the backbone behind this new and revolutionary project that's changing the face of modern day teaching. See what other Morahs' are talking about right now!

Induction

New teachers will be given an induction at the end of the summer term prior to starting teaching in the new academic year.  This induction will include:

·      The realities of teaching

·      Managing the work/life balance

·      Planning and preparation

·      Essentials of behaviour management

Mentoring

Every teacher will be allocated a mentor who will help you with your initial preparation and planning to ensure you are well equipped.  Throughout the first term your mentor will be there for you to support and guide you and if you have any comments or questions for us, it's so easy to ask us!

Further Training

There will be regular seminars throughout your first year of teaching bringing to you the best in education and teaching for knowledge, skills and debate.

Meet and Muse

Throughout your first year, we will provide opportunities for you to meet with fellow teachers, share experiences and learn from each other. Come and see what other Morahs' are talking about right now!

Should I Qualify?

NAJOS has links with all the QTS and QTLS Providers.  You will have opportunities to talk to the experts and decide for yourself whether you should pursue a qualification and help you choose which one is best for you.
